Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is seeking feedback from riders on potential changes to Route 57 and Route 235, both of which would occur in February 2024.

Please read the below summary of the proposed changes and then answer the following survey questions to share your thoughts.

Route 57 – Archdale: CATS is proposing to add later weeknight service in addition to new service on Sunday to better serve rider’s travel needs.

Additionally, CATS is proposing to shorten Route 57 to Forest Point Blvd and Arrowood Rd. Service to the Forest Point Business Park would be discontinued in this scenario.

Route 235 – Goodwill: CATS is proposing to add later weeknight and Saturday service, in addition to new service on Sunday service better serve rider’s travel needs.

Additionally, to improve on time performance and reliability, CATS is proposing two routing scenarios for Route 235 for further input:

  • Option A: 50-minute service that connects riders to the Valerie Woodard Center, Phillip O. Berry, Ashley Road, Wilkinson Wal-Mart, Renaissance West community and the CPCC Harris campus. Service to Goodwill, West Blvd Library, and along Seymour Drive and Scott Futrell Drive would be discontinued from this route.
  • Option B: 45-minute service that connects riders to the Wilkinson Wal-Mart, Renaissance West community and the CPCC Harris campus. Service to Goodwill, Valerie Woodard Center, West Blvd Library, and along Seymour Drive and Scott Futrell Drive would be discontinued from this route.
