Ongoing Activities
State Street to 700 West
A contractor for Dominion Energy will be working in this area through June. Please be aware of shifting work zones, lane closures, and night work.
700 West to 900 West
Work continues on the outside lanes for the new bridge over the Jordan River with the concrete for the new bridge walls being poured this week into next.
Work on the storm drain service lines may require short-term driveway access interruptions.
Patrons to the River Oaks Driving Range may only enter and leave eastbound on 9000 South. See the detour map below.
900 West to 1300 West
As early as Thursday, May 9, West Jordan City will conduct fire hydrant and water line relocation work between 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. near 1075 West requiring water service interruptions affecting a few properties. These properties have been notified of the upcoming work. Motorists can expect lane closures on 9000 South in this area during this work.
Water meter relocations continue on the south side of 9000 South requiring short-term water service interruption. Crews will notify individual property owners prior to any work taking place as these connections take approximately 30 minutes.
As early as Monday, May 20, work on storm drain and water service line installation will require the closure of the south leg of 1075 West. This closure will last up to one week and residents should use the detour shown.
Work on block walls on the south side of 9000 South continues in this section.

1300 West to Redwood Road
As early as Monday, May 13, crews will close the south leg of 1510 West at 9000 South for up to two weeks. Additionally, overnight lane closures on 9000 South are planned as part of this work.
Overnight water service interruptions are anticipated overnight Tuesday, May 14 from 11:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m. Wednesday morning May 15 as crews relocate existing water service lines. Affected property owners will be notified of upcoming impacts.
Residents and businesses south of 9000 South should use the detour shown below.

Closures
Eastbound 9000 South left turn closed at 700 West
The left turning lane to 700 West from eastbound 9000 South will be closed. This closure is expected to last through Summer 2024. Traffic should use Sandy Parkway (450 West) as the detour route. Click here to see the recommended detour map.
This closure is necessary to ensure safety as there is insufficient room to install a left-turning lane.
