Austin Energy project activities will be done in phases, as noted below. Expected working hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. During this time, you may see crews working on utility poles near you. You may see crews several times as they complete work involving pole construction/replacement, running new utility wires, and shortening poles with telecommunications lines.

Some of this work may require lane and/or road closures. There will be signage onsite prior to any lane or road closures. If bus routes are affected, Capital Metro will inform riders about disruptions and provide temporary detours and changes.

There are no expected power outages while the work is being done. If any outages are to be scheduled, customers will be notified in advance. Please note, crews and contractors always carry Austin Energy identification with them.

Crews will make every effort to minimize disruptions or inconveniences. The safety of the community and our crews is a priority. Please exercise caution throughout the area when workers are present.

For questions, please email community@austinenergy.com.

Upon completion of Austin Energy’s work, Capital Delivery Services will continue South Lamar Corridor work in early 2025 from US 290 to Bluebonnet Ln. and continue work mid-2026 from Bluebonnet Ln. to Barton Springs Rd. Click here to sign up for their newsletter.
