New Richmond US 52 Roundabout Project
Village of New Richmond and ODOT Seek Public Comment

The Village of New Richmond, in cooperation with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), is proposing safety improvements along US 52 within the Village limits. The proposed project includes a road diet and roundabouts. A road diet reduces the number of vehicle lanes and uses the extra space for other road users. On US 52, this means changing the road from four lanes to two lanes, while using the remaining space for shared-use path and with safer intersection crossings for pedestrians and bicyclists.
Roundabouts are circular intersections where drivers slow down and yield to traffic already in the circle before entering, which provides multiple safety benefits that we'll explain later in this presentation. On US 52, this means converting four intersections to roundabouts at Front Street, Sycamore Street, Walnut Street, and Augusta Street. The project is expected to begin construction in 2027 and last for 2 years. The virtual comment period for this project will end on June 20, 2026.
The Village of New Richmond and ODOT will host an Open House to give attendees an opportunity to learn more about the project, ask questions, and offer comments in person. Below are the details of the Open House.

HOW TO PROVIDE FEEDBACK
The Village of New Richmond, is holding an Open House on May 20, 2026 at the New Richmond Preparatory School at 212 Market Street, New Richmond, Ohio, 45157. This is an opportunity to view the project and give your comments in person.
If you cannot attend the Open House, you can provide input through the Virtual Open House being held from May 6, 2026, to June 20, 2026.
If you were unable to attend the Open House in person, the same exhibits will be shown in the Virtual Open House.
How can you participate in the Virtual Open House?
1. Use the tabs below to review project information and to participate in the Virtual Open House. Click on the links (underlined blue text) throughout the presentation for details. Click the green 'Continue' button to advance through the information. OR
2. If you have internet access difficulties, the website can be accessed at the public library located at 103 River Valley Blvd, New Richmond, OH 45157 or by requesting a printout of the website from Kathryn Bailey at the Village of New Richmond at 513-553-4146, extension 15.
