Tell us what you think about a proposed bridge replacement on U.S. 63 south of Montezuma starting Oct. 24

Improvements include:

• Removal of the existing bridge and a new 16’ x 9’ box culvert will be constructed in its place.
•  Grading to the new culvert will be completed and then a new roadway will be constructed over the culvert.
• Construction of new shoulders along the roadway and the ditches will be reshaped to meet the flowlines of the new culvert.
• Construction will take place starting in the spring of 2027 and be completed by the fall of 2027.
• U.S. 63 traffic will be closed to traffic and detoured around the project site. The detour route is tentatively proposed along County Road F57/Diamond Trail Road and Iowa 146.
