Current Engagement Opportunities

Take a Survey!

The Coeur d’Alene community has begun to articulate a vision for the next 20 years. We are asking for your input on the draft Vision, Guiding Principles and Goals that have been developed through input from online surveys, a community kickoff meeting, small group discussions with community leaders and representatives from the health, education, development, transportation, recreation and environmental sectors within Coeur d’Alene.

Your input is very important! This framework will serve as a foundation for developing specific actions (developed later in 2020) that will implement the vision and goals.

Definitions:

  • Draft Community Vision. A vision is a broad statement that encapsulates the intended direction for Coeur d’Alene. The statement captures where the community wants to go and what it wants to be by the year 2040.
  • Draft Guiding Principles. The plan will be organized in six key focus areas. Each focus area contains a Guiding Principle, which is related to the vision but provides more specifics about the focus area. Each guiding principle summarizes conversations documented through this outreach process. They also relate to CDA 2030, which through extensive outreach completed in 2013 and 2014, has provided a strong foundation for this effort.
  • Draft Goals. Goals provide broad direction that align with community priorities within the six focus areas.
  • Draft Objectives (to be developed later in 2020). Statements that provide general guidance for implementing one or more elements of the Guiding Principles.
  • Draft Action Items (to be developed later 2020). Projects, programs, or activities which support implementation of goals and objectives.
