I-475 East/West Widening Planning Study (PID 108778)
I-475 East/West Widening Planning Study (PID 108778)
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 2 commissioned a Planning Study to address safety and congestion concerns associated with the east/west portion of Interstate 475 (I-475) between US 23 and Douglas Road, located in Lucas County, Ohio. This study is a summary of the different alternatives that were investigated for widening I-475 in this area from 2 lanes in each direction to 3 lanes in each direction. It also explored the possiblity of a full interchange at Talmadge Road. The Planning Study was the first step in preparing for future projects along this corridor, with the potential for more detailed studies and design to follow later. Following the initial 2020 Study, the I-475 East/West Improvement Project (PID 115418) was established. Click Here to learn about the active project.
