Fairview Loop Road Pathway & Safety Improvements Project
Fairview Loop Road Pathway & Safety Improvements Project
The Fairview Loop Pathway and Safety Improvements project includes construction of a new, separated multiuse pathway and spot roadway safety improvements. The pathway is generally centered about Snowshoe Elementary School and will connect to the pathway at Knik-Goose Bay Road. Safety improvement locations are described below. You can find a map of the locations on the back of the fact sheet and as a separate downloadable file in the documents section below. In addition, this project will improve roadway signage; replace damaged or deficient culverts and drainage ditches; and replace the deficient large culvert structures at Cottonwood Slough and Cottonwood Creek. The design is 95% complete and the right-of-way appraisal and acquisition process is underway. Construction is tentatively scheduled for 2022 through 2023, pending acquisition of Right-of-Way and completion of utility relocation agreements and designs.
