MLK Parade - County Employee Sign-up
Walk with your colleagues in Charlotte’s MLK Parade (& get an exclusive winter hat!)
Join your co-workers, leadership and County Commissioners and march in the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Parade in Uptown Charlotte. This event is a powerful way to honor Dr. King's enduring legacy of unity, justice, and community service while representing our values and engaging with our local community.
- Date: Saturday, January 17, 2026
- Times: 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. - Meet at the Hospitality Suite, HMA 618 N College St
8:45 – 9:00 a.m. – Line-up
9:30 a.m. – Parade begins
It takes about an hour to walk the parade route. - Location: Uptown Charlotte. The parade route is down Tryon Street, from 9th Street to Brooklyn Village Avenue.
- Merch: Sign up ASAP to guarantee you receive the exclusive county-branded winter hat. This is a limited offer for those who intend to walk.
