Good Afternoon,
I would like to provide you with an update on the Patton Avenue Sidewalk Improvement Project.
Completed Work
The sidewalk removal and replacement along the front of Jack of the Wood has been completed. Additionally, most of the sidewalk along the front of the building at 101 Patton Ave has also been replaced. This translates to approximately 70 feet of new sidewalk installed.
Traffic Impacts
Traffic control measures will remain largely the same. However, City staff will be working closely with those who park in the lot next to Patton Ave Pets to ensure continuous access to the parking lot throughout the project.
Upcoming Work
Once the work in front of 101 Patton Ave is finished, staff will move to the driveway between 101 and 109 Patton Ave Pets. After that, staff will continue the sidewalk replacement across the front of 109 Patton Ave Pets. This work is expected to take place over the next several weeks.
Don’t forget to register for Patton Ave. Corridor update meetings
The City of Asheville is hosting a series of meetings to provide routine public updates on City projects impacting the Patton Avenue corridor. The meetings will be held virtually at 10 a.m. on August 12 and September 9. These meetings will serve as a platform for us to share progress and discuss any upcoming work. We encourage all who are interested to attend these meetings.
If you would like to attend this meeting please email jhughes@ashevillenc.gov to register. Once registered, you will receive a calendar invite by email with details on how to join the meeting.
Thank you for your continued patience and support as we work to improve the public infrastructure along Patton Avenue. If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to reach out.
