City of San Antonio Fiscal Year 2025 Adopted Budget
On September 19, the City of San Antonio’s Mayor and City Council approved a $3.96 billion budget for Fiscal Year (FY) 2025. The adopted budget supports key services, finds efficiencies and invests in community priorities. The FY 2025 budget also underscores the City’s commitment to being responsible, resourceful, and resilient in a tight fiscal year.

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an international health campaign held every October since 1985. The month aims to promote screening and prevention of breast cancer, which affects 2.3 million women worldwide. Recommended prevention activities include learning your family cancer history and scheduling regular breast cancer screenings.

Prequalified Public Artist Application
Arts & Culture is now hosting an open call for its prequalified public art list. This list of visual artists and support service providers are preapproved by City Council for work on future public art projects. The deadline to apply is Friday, October 25, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. Central Time.

Teen Mental Health Survey Results
Results of the 2024 Teen Mental Health Survey are now published on SA.gov. Metro Health's Project Worth Teen Ambassadors and the San Antonio Youth Commission conducted the survey, open to residents aged 12 to 19.

You’re invited to meet your Solid Waste Management Department staff at our Fall Open House events. Get up close and personal with our trucks, play games, meet our mascots, and learn about Solid Waste Management services in your neighborhood. This event is free to the public. Bring your batteries for recycling. Kitchen compost bins will be available while supplies last.

Historic Run Crew Eastside Cemeteries Tour

Location: Fairchild Park (1214 E. Crockett St., San Antonio, TX 78202)
Join the Office of Historic Preservation for a run/walk through the historic Eastside Cemeteries. The guided route begins in Fairchild Park and will be about 3 miles round trip. Learn about the history of the cemeteries and the Cemetery Steward Program's conservation work.

The Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival is one of the biggest of its kind in South Texas. It features over 250 artists showcasing live music, fine and digital arts, film, dance, poetry, and art installations. Luminaria transforms the streets and buildings of downtown San Antonio.
