Tour de las Misiones
Enjoy some fun and fitness at the Tour de las Misiones!
Whether you bike, run, or walk, this annual event takes you through the San Antonio Missions. This historic area is the only United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Site in Texas - recognized around the world for its outstanding cultural and historical significance.

The Tour de las Misiones offers a unique blend of fitness, culture, and community for all ages and abilities. Celebrate afterward at Mission County Park with live music, local artisans, food, and more!

Sound of Downtown
Enjoy the end of summer with Centro San Antonio and Council District 1 at Travis Park!
Every Thursday in August Travis Park comes alive with free live music and local eats. This free event is the perfect way to unwind on a summer evening with family and friends in the heart of downtown.
Date & Time: Thursdays in August, 7 p.m.
Location: Travis Park (301 E Travis St., 78205)
You can take advantage of free parking at City-owned garages and lots through Downtown Thursday. Bring your blankets and chairs and stay a while!

Let's Grow Together
The City of San Antonio Metro Health is launching “Let’s Grow Together”. This is a public health campaign to support the health of pregnant women, infants and children in San Antonio and Bexar County. Improving maternal, infant, and child health is a key role of public health.

Do you have old batteries, light bulbs, paint, or household chemicals taking up space? Bring them to an upcoming Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Event to dispose of them safely. It's a simple way to protect your home, your neighborhood, and the environment.
Date & Time: Friday, August 7, Saturday, August 8, 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Location: Bitters Bulky Waste Collection Center (1800 Wurzbach Pkwy, 78216)
Date & Time: Saturday, August 15, 8 a.m.- 12 p.m.
Location: Rigsby Bulky Waste Collection Center (2755 Rigsby Ave, 78222)
Bring a valid ID and a recent CPS Energy bill showing you pay the Environmental Fee.
Safely dispose of batteries, lightbulbs, paints, and chemicals.
