Reconductoring Construction Beginning on South Lamar Boulevard!
Construction on the South Lamar Corridor Reconductoring Project will begin Sunday, July 7.
Construction will be completed in three phases along South Lamar Boulevard:
- Phase One: West Oltorf Street to West Mary Street
- Phase Two: West Mary Street to Treadwell Street
- Phase Three: Treadwell Street to Barton Springs Road
During phase one, construction will take place in the right and left lanes, leaving the middle lane open for north and southbound traffic flow.
- Construction is expected to last one to two months per phase.
- Construction may take place on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
- Bus stops located on South Lamar Boulevard from West Oltorf Street to Barton Springs Road may be temporarily closed or relocated.
- Bike lanes, pedestrian traffic, and ADA access will be limited during construction.
- Access into some business driveways along the construction route may be limited.
