Bring Your Ideas to an Open House on Wednesday

Parks, greenways, and public infrastructure along the French Broad and Swannanoa rivers were catastrophically impacted by Helene's destruction – but now it's time to build back better, smarter, and with an eye on future generations!

Join the City of Asheville's project teams focused on riverfront recovery at an open house on December 10 from 6-8pm at Asheville Middle School to share ideas and priorities for how our city should revitalize, reimagine, and rebuild our public spaces like Carrier, Azalea, French Broad River, and Recreation parks, as well greenways, open spaces, sports fields, and more. Help spread the word to your friends and neighbors with the image at the bottom of this email.

About the Open House from 6-8pm on Wednesday, December 10

  • Meet the teams working on the French Broad Riverfront and Azalea Parks & Infrastructure recovery projects
  • Learn more about each project's boundaries, recovery criteria, and rebuilding design principles
  • Share your creative ideas, priorities, and thoughts for rebuilding the places you love
  • Kids' activities, refreshments, and Spanish language interpreters provided
  • Asheville Middle School is located on 211 South French Broad Avenue and is accessible on the S4 ART bus route

Can't make the meeting? Head to PublicInput.com/RiverfrontRecoverySurvey by December 19 and look out for the team at events listed below.
