2025 Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Theme Survey
The City of San Antonio's Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission is conducting a survey to select the theme for the 2025 celebrations! The survey should take no longer than 2 minutes to complete. This survey will be open from Tuesday, August 20 through Sunday, September 15, 2024.

September Downtown Events
The City of San Antonio invites residents to visit downtown, including Historic Market Square, La Villita Historic Arts Village, Travis Park, and Houston Street this September for a variety of events. While you enjoy the events, don’t forget to stop inside their stores to shop for one-of-a-kind treasures.

Extended Pool Schedule
It’s still hot out there, and did you know that 7 of the City’s outdoor pools are still open through Sunday, September 15th? Make sure you get your last swim of the year in before the pools close for the season.

World Heritage Festival
Join the City of San Antonio World Heritage Office for the 9th Annual World Heritage Festival, from September 4 - 8, 2024! This Festival is a yearly event celebrating the San Antonio Missions, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The City of San Antonio is going SOLAR! Visit this free family-friendly resource fair, featuring plastic bag swap and battery recycling opportunities. Also bring your chairs and blankets for an evening screening of Wall-E!

Tejas Tastebuds
Date and Time: Tuesday, September 24, 6 p.m.
Location: Casa Navarro State Historic Site (228 S Laredo St., San Antonio, TX 78207)
In 2023, the City of San Antonio Office of Historic Preservation and community partners created Tejas Tastebuds. The event is an exploration of San Antonio's culinary heritage, dating back to the 1870s! The Tuesday, September 24th program will feature a live demonstration of tacos.

San Antonio Neighbors Together

We are pleased to invite you to participate in San Antonio Neighbors Together! This annual crime prevention event allows neighborhoods to participate in a fun evening to meet-and-greet neighbors and celebrate with City officials, including the Mayor, City Council members, City Administrators and various City departments.

Community Preparedness Workshop
Date and Time: Saturday, September 28, 8 a.m.
Location: 8130 Inner Cir Dr., San Antonio, TX 78235
The City of San Antonio Office of Emergency Management will host a Community Preparedness Workshop on September 28th. The workshop will inform community leaders on the importance of preparedness. Participants will learn about resources available to them to overcome barriers for residents.
