STAY SAFE THIS SUMMER: ESSENTIAL TIPS FOR YOUR ROAD TRIPS
As the summer heats up, it's time to hit the road for concerts, BBQs, and adventures. Make sure your trips are safe and enjoyable by following these essential tips:
- Buckle Up for Every Trip - Before you set out, remember to use SPF, stay hydrated and, most importantly, wear your seat belt. Whether you're heading to a nearby concert or a distant BBQ, make seat belts a non-negotiable part of your plans. Seat belts save lives. It’s that simple.
- Plan ahead for a sober ride - Heading out for some fun in the summer sun? Make a plan for a sober ride home BEFORE you go. There are many ways to prevent tragic crashes from impaired driving. Check out rideshare services, taxis, designating a sober driver, or using public transportation when you go out this summer.
- Prepare for Roadside Emergencies - Summer can be tough on your vehicle. Beat the heat of a roadside emergency by checking our safety checklist now. If you find yourself broken down on a Maryland highway, don’t panic. Call #77 for assistance. Having our roadside emergency checklist handy can make all the difference.
