SHAPING THE PRG: CHERRY HILL TRAIL TOGETHER
Design is moving forward on a new segment of the Patapsco Regional Greenway (PRG) in Baltimore City’s Cherry Hill neighborhood. This trail will give people safer and easier ways to bike, walk, and roll in the community.
Earlier this spring, the Baltimore Metropolitan Council shared the possible trail location from the original PRG Concept Plan and asked residents for feedback. Based on what we heard, the team created several possible trail routes—called alignments—to better match what the community wants.
On November 4, we hosted a Community Open House at the Middle Branch Fitness and Wellness Center. Community members and local partners—including the South Baltimore Gateway Partnership, Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, Cherry Hill Community Coalition, Masonville Cove Partners, Black Yield Institute, and Women of Color Outdoors—joined us and shared their ideas. The meeting presentation is available on the project website.
What’s next? Soon, we will share the selected trail route and early design ideas. In Phase 3 in 2026, we will hold another community meeting where you can tell us what features you want to see along the PRG: Cherry Hill trail.

- Virtual: Monday, December 8 • 6 to 7:30 p.m.
- In Person: Wednesday, December 10 • 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Mount Royal Elementary/Middle School (121 McMechen Street Baltimore, MD 21217)

HARFORD TRANSIT IS EXPLORING NEW TRANSIT OPTIONS
Harford Transit is studying microtransit — a new kind of service that provides short, on-demand trips within certain areas. It works a bit like a small bus that comes when you request it, making it easier to get around town.
Microtransit can help riders get to places not served by current bus routes and make better connections to the rest of the transportation system. Harford Transit recently held community meetings to explain the idea, and the presentation slides are now available online.
How would you use this new service? Share your thoughts in a short survey for a chance to win a Harford Transit LINK monthly pass!

BALTIMORE'S CHARM CITY CIRCULATOR ADDS NEW NEIGHBORHOOD CONNECTIONS
Starting December 7, the Baltimore City Charm City Circulator will expand service on the Green and Orange Routes. The Green Route will now reach Broadway East, Oliver, and East Baltimore Midway, while the Orange Route adds a stop at Maritime Park.
Buses will come more often—every 20 minutes on the Green Route and about every 10 minutes on the Orange Route. Riders can track buses in real time with the Passio Go! app.
These updates come from the city’s Transit Development Plan and aim to give residents better connections to jobs, schools, health care, key destinations, and essential services across Baltimore. Community partners, including Transit Choices, strongly support these improvements.

BEFORE YOU CELEBRATE THIS HOLIDAY SEASON, PLAN A SAFE RIDE HOME
Heading out for holiday fun? Make a plan to get home safely. Impaired driving is both dangerous and preventable. In the last five years, more than 800 people in Maryland lost their lives in crashes involving impaired drivers — nearly one-third of all traffic deaths.
And if someone you know has been drinking or using drugs, don’t let them drive — help them find a safe way home.
A little planning goes a long way toward protecting the people around us. Be the Driver that Saves Lives. Make the choice that keeps everyone safe this season. ✨❄️🎉⛄✨
