LEARN ABOUT THE BALTIMORE AREA FAIR HOUSING STUDY ON JULY 17
The Fair Housing Act of 1968 makes it illegal to discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, and family status. It also requires housing agencies and state and local governments to actively undo the ongoing harm of 20th century government housing discrimination.
The Baltimore Metropolitan Council is working with local governments, housing agencies, and other important stakeholders to create the 2025 Baltimore Area Fair Housing Study.
Join us via zoom on Wednesday, July 17 at noon for our next community meeting.
You will see the latest data on fair-housing-related disparities in the region, hear updates from our topic-specific small groups, and talk about next steps.

BE THE DRIVER THAT SAVES LIVES: GET A SOBER RIDE THIS SUMMER
Heading out for some fun in the summer sun? Make sure you have a plan for a sober ride home before you go.
Driving under the influence of drugs, including cannabis, or alcohol is dangerous. Even if you feel relaxed and in control while drinking or high, your reaction times, hand-eye coordination, and overall driving performance suffer once you get on the road. Some prescription medications can also negatively affect your ability to drive.
Thankfully, there are many safe ways to get around. Use a rideshare service, call a taxi, designate a sober driver, or take public transit. Be the driver who saves lives. Keep yourself and others safe this summer.
