CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

We appreciate your patience as we kicked off the SR-68 Bountiful paving project last week. Over the next few weeks, crews will be upgrading pedestrian ramps to meet ADA compliance at intersections on 500 S. There will also be various locations on 500 S and 200 W where crews will be improving business access ramps and curb/gutter replacements. We want to remind motorists traveling through the area at night to stay clear of construction zones separated by barrels and cones. These traffic control devices are in place to safely guide drivers into open lanes. Please follow all posted traffic signage. Thank you for your continued patience and for staying informed about this project.

SCHEDULE
Work Hours: Night work 7pm-7am; Occasional daytime work as necessary
Workdays: Sunday PM - Thursday AM
Project Total Duration: Approximately 90 days

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITES & TRAFFIC IMPACTS
- Starting June 10th:
- Pedestrian ramp upgrades to meet ADA compliance, curb and gutter replacements
- Motorists can expect short distance outside lane closures. Some light to moderate noise from equipment can be expected
- Starting as early as the week of July 7th:
- Paving operations begin with full single-lane closures in both directions. Travel delays from 5-10 minutes can be expected.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will resurface SR-68(500 S) in Davis County from 500 S to 400 W. The project objectives are aimed at preserving the life of the. This paving process will help increase the longevity of the road surface, address road imperfections and enhance motorist safety by providing a smoother, more durable road. Additional work includes upgraded pedestrian ramps to meet ADA compliance, varied business access ramp improvements and curb/gutter replacements, refreshed lane and road painting/striping, as well as updated roadside signage.

SAFETY NOTICE:
For your safety and the safety of those working in the area, please use extra caution, reduce speeds, and follow all posted signs and signals when driving through construction zones. Barrels and other traffic control devices are placed to guide motorists safely through the work zone, and to protect the project team.
