Economic Development Week is May 11 - 17
The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) created Economic Development Week in 2016 to recognize the work that economic developers do in their communities. Economic Development Week is celebrated annually, highlighting the programs, best practices, and individuals that positively impact life in their communities.
Economic developers strive to promote and enhance the business experience at all levels, create quality spaces for new jobs, investment, and home life; and act as an ambassador to guide local organizations to work collaboratively on shared goals and actions that benefit San Antonio and communities. But economic developers don’t do it alone. Everyone is part of the economic fabric that supports our community.
