Amazing Preservation Race
Preservation Month was established in 1973 in a collaborative effort by several organizations. In San Antonio, May is dedicated to celebrating our city's rich built heritage, diverse cultures, and unique traditions. In May, the Office of Historic Preservation will highlight San Antonio's preservation efforts and cultural heritage. There are many ways to take part in San Antonio's Preservation Month. Housing Services Portal
A digital “one-stop shop” for supportive housing services has launched! The Neighborhood and Housing Services Department and the San Antonio Community Resource Directory (SACRD) have partnered to launch a new Housing Services Portal to collect, maintain and provide information on housing-related services provided in San Antonio.

Transit Oriented Development
Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) is an urban planning approach that promotes public transit use, enhances walkability and accessibility, and fosters a mix of residential, commercial, and recreational spaces within a transit-friendly environment while reducing reliance on single-occupancy automobiles. The goal of San Antonio's TOD is to create vibrant, livable communities where residents can live, work, and play in close proximity to VIA transit stations and transportation hubs.

Affordable Housing Bond
In 2022 the Affordable Housing Bond was approved by voters. The Affordable Housing Bond allows the City of San Antonio to use $150 million for housing. Approved funding will help develop safe, quality, and affordable housing near jobs, transit, schools and services.

Apply for the Complaint & Administrative Reveiw Board
Application Deadline: Monday, May 13
The City of San Antonio is seeking applicants for its Citizen Advisory Action Board (commonly referred to as the Complaint & Administrative Review Board). The group meets year-round to hear officer misconduct cases, and each member serves a term of two years. They adjudicate and make recommendations to the Chief of Police.
