Enjoy Holiday Lights on the River Walk
It's glow time! More than 200,000 holiday lights are adding holiday sparkle along the River Walk. Over 200 trees and 30 bridges are now decorated for the holiday season.
There's plenty of time to capture photos or add a stroll down the River Walk to your holiday plans. All the lights are energy-efficient LEDs. This spectacular lighting event is free for viewing from dusk to dawn until Sunday, January 11, 2026.

Share Your Thoughts on the River Walk
The City of San Antonio wants to know what you think about the River Walk. Your feedback will help make it even better in the future.
The survey takes less than four minutes and is open until 5 p.m. on Jan. 31, 2026.

Prepare for Winter Weather
Winter in San Antonio usually lasts from December to February. Sometimes, the temperature drops below freezing for several days. Winter storms can bring very cold weather with freezing rain, ice, snow and strong winds.
The City of San Antonio provides resources to get informed and make a winter weather plan.

We are Upgrading Your 311 Experience!
The City is performing a scheduled upgrade to the 311 Service Request System. From 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, to 7 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 8, the 311SA Mobile App and the 311 Web Portal will be unavailable. 311 services will continue during this period.

Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Event
Do you have hazardous household waste that needs proper disposal? Join us in making a difference by dropping off your waste!
Date & Time: Saturday, December 6, 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Location: Bitters HHW Drop-Off Center (1800 Wurzbach Parkway, 78216)
Remember to bring your ID and a CPS Energy bill to show proof of residency. Contents should be in their original container.
Accepted materials include paints, batteries, e-waste, cleaning supplies, chemicals, and light bulbs.

Celebrate the Holidays Downtown
Downtown San Antonio shines bright this holiday season! Stroll the River Walk under a canopy of holiday lights. Trees and bridges will be glowing every evening through January 11th.
Head to Travis Park to see the city’s official Christmas tree. Enjoy festive fun, including a Christmas tree lot.
Give Local this holiday season by shopping for handcrafted gifts and festive finds at La Villita Historic Arts Village and Historic Market Square.

Zero Interest Rate Loan Program
The City of San Antonio has partnered with LiftFund to launch a new Zero Percent Interest Rate Loan Program.
This year’s program allocates $500,000 to buy down interest on loans from $500 to $100,000 for eligible San Antonio businesses. Funds can go towards working capital, equipment, inventory, or startup expenses. The program focuses on entrepreneurs who may not qualify for traditional financing options.
