Good Morning,
I would like to provide you with an update on the Patton Avenue Sidewalk Improvement Project.
To date, our crews have removed and replaced approximately 795 feet of sidewalk. Public Works crews have completed all sidewalk replacements on the north side of Patton Avenue and are now working on the ramp at 92 Patton Avenue, in front of Thirsty Monk. Construction is almost halfway through this corner. With future weather delays, it is anticipated the remaining work at this corner will last about three weeks.
The City Arborist is currently acquiring and scheduling the planting for tree replacements along the Patton corridor. City Staff will send an update with more details on the timeline once available.
Upcoming Traffic and Sidewalk Impacts:
Starting Monday, September 30th, 2024, at 8 a.m.:
-
Eastbound Lane Shift: The eastbound lane of Patton Avenue will be shifted into the westbound turning lane. This lane shift is expected to be in place for approximately three weeks, weather permitting. We will reopen the lane during afternoons or weekends whenever possible.
-
Sidewalk and Crosswalk Closures: The sidewalk in front of 92 Patton Avenue, along with the crosswalk connecting 87 and 92 Patton Avenue, will be closed. Temporary access to Thirsty Monk will be provided as needed, and we are coordinating closely with the property and business owners. As with the lane closure, we will reopen the sidewalk during afternoons or weekends when feasible.
Thank you for your continued patience and support as we work to improve the public infrastructure along Patton Avenue. If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Best regards,
