How would you spend $4,710,000 in Skyway/West Hill? Participatory budgeting is a democratic process in which community members directly decide how to spend part of a public budget.
It gives people real power to make real decisions over real money.
Turning Ideas into Proposals
Community members working as Proposal Advocates will review all the ideas that are submitted for feasibility and decide which should be developed into project proposals for the ballot. They will hold meetings to gather the community's input on the details of the project. With that information, they will then develop the project proposals with help from King County project managers. The proposals will include details about the project, including project description, who the users would be, cost, timeline, and hoped for benefit to the community.
