Holloway Recommendations Survey

The Better Bus Project Team has been meeting with the community and listening to ideas about how to make the bus riding experience better. Community comments and technical analysis have created a plan to improve your trip to the bus, your bus stop, and your bus ride along the Holloway Street Corridor. We need your feedback before we finalize plans this fall.

Please help us by responding to our survey questions about the Holloway Transit Emphasis Corridor recommendations. The survey should take about 5-10 minutes to complete.

Along Holloway Street, and other streets along the Route 3 line, the recommendations show new or missing sidewalks, new crosswalks, improved bus stop locations, traffic signals improvements from Downtown to the Village Shopping Center area. These new improvements are intended to make it safer and more convenient to get to your bus stop and wait for a bus, and assure that your bus arrives on time. The recommendations propose new standard items to be included at bus stops along Fayetteville Street and Holloway Street. These improvements include shelters, signs, lighting, benches or leaning rails, bike racks, garbage and recycling, bike racks, and other safety features.

As we start to develop detailed design of bus stops at specific locations let us know which of the following is important to you. What is your first priority?

Having the same things at every bus stop even if it means that the space that a bus stop takes up might need to be larger to be able to fit new improvements

Keeping the amount of space that a bus stop takes up as small as possible even if it means having less amenities at that location

Making sure that all of the bus stops look the same

Being able to add art, special shelter colors, or specialty shelters to reflect neighborhood history, pride, or identity
