300 South Improved
300 South Improved
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will begin road construction on US-89 (300 South) between University Avenue and 500 West in February 2024. Reconstruction is expected to continue through the end of the year.
The roadway between University Avenue and 500 West will be reconstructed in a similar layout as previous projects on U.S. 89 in Provo have done. This will improve the roadway and underground infrastructure while providing better transportation options for all kinds of road users.
Project Activities*: 300 South
- Crews continue to work on sewer line installation along the south side of 300 South heading west. This work requires crews to trench through driveways, and homeowners will see intermittent access limitations. Traffic has been shifted to the north and motorists are advised to slow down and pay attention to traffic control.
- Crews have begun removing trees along 300 South that conflict with utilities. The trees to be removed were called out in design and properties will be notified before the removal.
- Beginning next week crews will begin demolition of existing curb, gutter and sidewalk along the south side.
Impacts:
Homeowners can expect open trenching and intermittent access limitations during this work. One lane in each direction will be open on 300 South. Work will take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless noted.
Project Activities: Dominion Gas
Dominion Gas is finishing up their work along 300 South. This work is outside of the project and is not being directed by UDOT. Questions should be directed to Tempest Enterprises, Inc. by calling 801-262-4165 or emailing office@thetempestco.com. Dominion is anticipating finishing their work in approximately two weeks.
