Vine Road at Hollywood Intersection Improvements
The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is developing a project to improve safety at the intersection of Vine Road and Hollywood Road in Wasilla, Alaska. The project will construct Improvements that may include a roundabout (or traffic signal), improved drainage, a pedestrian pathway, utility relocation and illumination.
This project is funded through the federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP).
It is anticipated that this project will be constructed with the “Vine Rd: KGB to Hollywood Road” project, to minimize disruption during construction.
Anticipated Schedule:
- Survey was performed in 2018
- Environmental Document was completed in July 2020
- Design anticipated in 2020-2022
- ROW acquisition anticipated in 2021-2022
- Construction anticipated to begin in 2023, if funds are available
