Cordova Merle K. “Mudhole” Smith Airport Master Plan Update
The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities is updating the Airport Master Plan for Merle K. “Mudhole” Smith Airport. The update will explore and document a plan for near, middle, and long-term development at the airport. The Federal Aviation Administration requires an updated master plan to provide funding for improvements.
Master plan focus areas are:
- Airport use forecast
- Airport layout plan
- Critical aircraft types
- Airside facilities
- Landside facilities

The purpose of this public meeting is to assess current conditions and future needs at the airport.
