PARTF Application

ZPRD submitted an application to the State of North Carolina to seek funding from PARTF for phase 1 of the Little River Park Plan. The grant process included an additional round of public engagement and as a result, bathrooms were moved up from Phase 3 to be included in the first phase of construction. The Town was awarded $500,000 from PARTF!

Phase 1 Designs

Following a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process, the Town hired Bensch to complete designs for the first phase of Little River Park development. Designs are scheduled to be completed by the end of July 2025.

Annexation Neighborhood Meeting

The Parks and Recreation Department will seek annexation and rezoning for Little River Park in order to access utilities. Information about the neighborhood meeting can be found on the tab at the top of this page titled Annexation Neighborhood Meeting

Phase 1 Construction

A bid process will be utilized to select a firm to complete construction as designed for Little River Park. Construction is tentatitively scheduled to begin in the fall of 2025.
