Virtual Kickoff Meeting

The State of North Carolina is pleased to announce an upcoming statewide virtual meeting as part of the ongoing Environmental Justice initiative. This meeting will be conducted on GoToWebinar and will provide an overview of the initiative's goals and objectives, as well as offer an opportunity for residents to share their thoughts and concerns.

Event Details:

This virtual meeting will give participants the chance to learn more about the efforts to advance environmental justice in North Carolina and to contribute to shaping its future. The state is particularly interested in hearing from communities facing environmental challenges.

To ensure accessibility, the meeting will be recorded and made available on the initiative’s public engagement webpage. GoToWebinar's interactive features will be utilized to facilitate engagement and collect feedback during the event.

Residents are encouraged to participate in this important conversation.

EJ HUB Virtual Meetings

The EJHub and Mapping Subcommittee of the council will be hosting several virtual sessions every Tuesday of August. They will provide a brief demo of the tool and give you an opportunity to navigate the tool on your own and ask questions as you review the tool.

EJ Advisory Council Meetings

The Environmental Justice Advisory Council is inviting residents to attend its upcoming public meetings. These meetings are a great opportunity for you to share your thoughts, concerns, and suggestions directly with the Council.

Meeting Dates and Locations:

  • Tuesday, March 26th in Wake County
  • Tuesday, May 28th in Wayne County
  • Tuesday, July 23rd in Halifax County
  • Tuesday, September 24th in Stanly County

Each meeting will have a special time set aside for public comments. This is your chance to voice your opinions and help shape the future of environmental justice efforts in North Carolina. We value your input and want to hear from you about the environmental issues that matter most to you and your community.

 

EJ Community Forums

Join the Environmental Justice Advisory Council  for a series of community forums to discuss environmental justice issues and opportunities in North Carolina. These in-person meetings will provide residents with an opportunity to learn about the E.O. 292 Advancing Environmental Justice initiative, hear discussions on key environmental justice topics, and share feedback on community needs and concerns.

Each forum will feature presentations, panel discussions, and an open house with information stations and demonstrations of the Environmental Justice Hub and mapping tool. Your input is valuable. Join us to help shape the future of environmental justice in North Carolina.
