Vine Road Reconstruction
Vine Road Reconstruction
The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is working on a project to increase the capacity of Vine Road between Knik-Goose Bay Road and Hollywood Road and improve the Vine / Hollywood intersection. The project will reconstruct 0.6 miles of existing two-lane rural road to address increases in traffic volumes and upgrade geometry to current highway standards. Improvements may include widening shoulders, adding a center two-way-left-turn lane, intersection improvements, a pedestrian pathway, and guardrail. Right-of-Way (ROW) acquisitions and utility relocations may be required.
It is anticipated that this project will be constructed with the “HSIP: Hollywood Rd and Vine Rd Intersection Improvements” project.
