Piedmont Avenue Bridge Project PEL Study
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) in coordination with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and local and state agencies, is conducting a Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study for the Piedmont Avenue Bridge Project. The Piedmont Avenue Bridge begins in Bristol, VA and carries Piedmont Avenue (U.S. Route 11) over Beaver Creek through the downtown area and continues into Bristol, TN. The PEL Study will identify existing conditions, anticipated design constraints, and develop and screen a reasonable range of alternatives and recommended preferred alternative that will inform the environmental review process and project delivery.
