Dual Language Access and Support
Discussion of Problem Statement: The district does not ensure that students of color or students with disabilities participate in two-way Dual-language programming throughout all levels of their educational experience.
Those families who do participate are not given adequate support and resources to ensure their children excel and continue in the programs.
ACTE 4. The district does not properly support second language acquisition for Brown, Black & disabled students.
ACTE 7. Parents of students in two-way dual language programs are not provided the necessary structures and tools to support their childrens’ language acquisition.
O9: Families & students with unique accessibility & multilingual needs lack opportunities for family engagement, communication, multilingual & accessible support.
