2018 Earthquake Recovery Program
2018 Earthquake Recovery Program
The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is leading a program to construct long-term repairs to damaged infrastructure on State and local roads. DOT&PF evaluated more than 265 sites across the region and determined over 150 required permanent repairs. These sites have been grouped into 21 projects based on geography and type of work to be completed. DOT&PF constructed repairs on 17 Bridges and a Road Weather Information System in the fall of 2020. Two projects have been advertised for construction this spring. We plan to advertise 11 additional repair projects (5 FHWA and 6 FEMA funded projects) in 4 construction contracts in the spring for construction this summer. For the remaining 6 permanent repair projects we are continuing design and preparing documentation for construction through 2023. The program is funded by federal emergency response and state funds.
