Construction

Advertising for construction bids is anticipated in spring 2022. Construction is planned for the summer seasons of 2022 and 2023.

During construction, portions of the airfield will be closed to aircraft traffic. Aircraft access to the commercial and general aviation aprons will be maintained throughout construction. The runway will remain operational at half-width to facilitate takeoffs and landings while construction is underway on the closed half.
