Entertainment District
Entertainment District
The Entertainment District is the area between 14th and 20th streets bounded by the oceanfront and Birdneck Rd. The focus of the Entertainment District, as outlined in the Resort Area Strategic Action Plan, is to create a variety of family-friendly amenities that offer year-round entertainment and activity options for residents and visitors alike. In addition to the Dome Site project, which was the subject of a similar survey that ran Jan 14-Feb 15, 2018, the City is considering using Tourism Investment Program funds, made up mostly of tourism-related taxes and fees like hotel taxes, portions of the restaurant taxes and rental fees, to fund the development of two other projects and parking to support the district. This survey asks for your input about the features and amenities you might like to see in a public pier and how you might use a sports center. While the pier could be built anywhere between 5th and 40th streets, it would be considered an addition to the entertainment amenities located in the resort. The survey will be open for input through March 30, 2018 |
