Hollywood Road Pavement Preservation
The State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is working on a project to resurface Hollywood Road between Vine Road and Big Lake Road.
Project Scope
The project will mill and repave Hollywood Road, improve the structural section in select areas, improve drainage, clear trees and brush as required, replace signs and restripe the roadway.
Potential Right of Way Impacts
Public Use Easements and/or Temporary Construction Easements may be required in some areas.
Potential Construction Impacts
Temporary traffic impacts will occur during construction, but at this time we do not anticipate any full road closures.
Current Work
The project is in the early design stage. Survey and geotechnical crews will be collecting data in the fall of 2020.
Schedule
Construction is anticipated in 2022 or later, depending on availability of funds.
