Virginia Values Act Panel
Virginia Values Act Panel
Join us on Tuesday, June 23, from 10 am – 12 pm for a presentation and discussion about the Virginia Values Act. All are welcome!
Effective July 1, 2020, Virginia is the first Southern state to provide sweeping anti-discrimination protections for LGBTQ people, thanks to the Virginia Values Act. This legislation prohibits discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity in housing, public and private employment, public accommodations, and access to credit. Learn more about the Virginia Values Act and how it will support our community at a panel discussion hosted by the Albemarle County LGBTQIA Affinity Group, Equality VA, and Charlottesville Pride Community Network.
Speakers:
Supervisor Donna Price, Albemarle County Board of Supervisors (moderator)
Amy Sarah Marshall, Charlottesville Pride Community Network President
Vee Lamneck, Equality VA Executive Director
Lisa Green, Albemarle County LGBTQIA Affinity Group Chair
