Elmore Road Pavement Preservation: Abbott to Providence
Scope
This project proposes to resurface Elmore Road from Abbott Road to Providence Drive. The purpose of the proposed project is to extend the service life of the facility, reduce maintenance costs, and improve safety. The roadway through the project corridor exhibits signs of deterioration including distressed pavement, faded pavement markings, and areas with poor drainage. The project would correct these deficiencies.
The proposed work may include the following:
- Structural section repairs
- Bridge repair and resurfacing
- Pedestrian facility improvements
- Upgrade or rehabilitate signals, lighting, traffic recording equipment
- Upgrade guardrail including end treatments
- Drainage improvements
- Utility relocations
- Crack sealing
- Vegetation clearing and grubbing
- Upgrade signage and striping
Schedule
The start of construction is dependent on many factors, including availability of funding. Currently, this project is anticipated to begin construction in spring 2022.
