Austin ISD is resuming the process of identifying the future use of district properties that are underutilized or no longer in use. This process, called “repurposing,” was put on hold in spring of 2020 as the district addressed priorities arising from the pandemic and the safe reopening of schools.
The district recognizes that schools are community assets. We are committed to exploring options with affected communities that are responsive to their needs and make sense financially and strategically. This means the district will explore and prioritize options where it maintains ownership of the assets. Please complete this survey by Friday, April 1.

El Austin ISD está reanudando el proceso para identificar el uso futuro de sus propiedades infrautilizadas o que ya no se utilizan. The district is currently gathering ideas for the potential use of the sites. Please fill out the form below to help us generate ideas and understand your priorities.
Feedback will be used along with results of forthcoming feasibility studies to narrow down the list of potential uses for each of the sites.
