The Johnson River Bridge is a critical component of the Alaska Highway established in 1942. Nearing its 80-year service mark, this bridge is crucial for tourism, freight, and various industries. Facing structural challenges, the bridge is rated in "Poor Condition" and has incurred over $3.6 million in repairs. The replacement vision encompasses an eight-span concrete decked bulb-tee girder bridge, spanning approximately 1,160 feet and 43 feet wide, accompanied by resurfacing, grading, wider shoulder widths, and various safety enhancements.

Bridge Investment Program
