Germanna Point Drive Extension Environmental Assessment

On behalf of Spotsylvania County, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), in coordination with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is initiating the environmental review process to evaluate potential improvements to the transportation network in and around Germanna Point Drive and Spotsylvania Avenue in Spotsylvania County, Virginia.

Current efforts are focused on evaluating the potential human and environmental resources that may be affected by the transportation improvements being considered to ensure that a full range of relevant factors to the project are accounted for and addressed. The Environment Assessment is conducted to comply with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA).

VDOT invites the public to participate in the in-person public information meeting on the EA to view materials and speak to VDOT representatives who are available to answer any questions.
