Project Description

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will resurface State Route 35 in Summit County from Francis to twelve miles east near Nobletts Trailhead. The project objectives are aimed at preserving the life of the roadway. This paving process will help increase the longevity of the road surface, address roadway deterioration, and enhance motorist safety by resmoothing asphalt that can’t be corrected with patching.  Refreshed lane and roadway painting/striping will be applied following the work, as well as updated roadside signage.  Update:  Noblett's trailhead will NOT be paved this season.

Latest Update (9/16): Paving and traffic operations are suspended through the week of Sept. 16-20 due to weather.  As a result, we are shifting paving completion to the first week of October.  Paving is now complete along the eastbound lane, including various acceleration and deceleration lanes into intersections.  Work will resume Sept. 23-27 along the westbound lane.  Be prepared for one-way alternating traffic with pilot car guidance to ensure smooth and safe travel.  Plan on 5-10 minute delays with up to 15 minutes during peak periods.
