During the November 2026 election, Austinites can vote on proposed amendments to the Austin City Charter, including a citizen-initiated amendment, which were proposed and discussed in summer 2026 public input sessions. Most of the Charter Amendments were also initially discussed and proposed by the 2024 Charter Review Commission after a public input process.
