    • Cruz: Continuing boardwalk out to the raw water supply, Cruz is looking into getting more crew out here late next week to start boardwalk installation, 39 helical installed the last full day and night shift. 
    • Brice: There is a family that lives at 235 Misvik Loop that wants to come back to Kwigillingok as soon as their house is ready. They have the heat on and demobed the water tank, water heater, and expansion tank yesterday. Making a list of doghouses that will need to be set by Hog River; these will also need pads built. We have provided Hog River with drawings for where the doghouses need to be set. We sent one guy out to Bethel for medical. The electrician on-site is finishing rough in wiring on unit K14. Offloading fuel planes and freight planes. 
    • Delta Backhaul: DBH has one foreman, two operators, and three laborers on site. They will be removing snow, hauling fuel, and clearing debris. Additionally, the burn unit will be operations today, using the debris separate4d from the snow for burning. 
    • Hog River: Moving/leveling houses. Setting dog houses for installation. Drying/thawing houses. Removing wet/damaged material in houses. Installing new material as needed. 

    2/07/26

    • Cruz: Continuing to install pile on the boardwalk out to the raw water supply, Cruz is looking into getting more crew out here late this next week to start boardwalk installation, the auger bit is here and being used when needed, it appears we may be able to get ~20 per shift = 40 per day. 
    • Brice: Working on plumbing and heating in houses, will be checking the post office later today, still have some work at the clinic, sewer line at school is still not functioning and maintenance is on-site treating the sewage right now, appearing to still to frozen. 
    • Delta Backhaul: Currently only one laborer, three operators and a foreman on-site. Primary focus is on removing snow and clearing debris in boardwalk locations. DBH is actively working along the walkway area that requires replacement behind the burn unit. 
    • Hog River: Moving/leveling houses. Setting dog houses for installation. Drying/thawing houses. Removing wet/damaged material in houses. Installing new material as needed. 

    2/05/26

    • Cruz: Continuing to install pile on the boardwalk out to the raw water supply, 28 so far, expecting an auger bit on a flight this afternoon, it will speed things up. Unloading planes as needed. 
    • Brice: Continuing to assist with house repairs, heating plumbing, dog houses, water tanks, etc.
    • Delta Backhaul: Continuing with debris hauling and sorting in boardwalk areas behind the burn unit, the burn unit and the appliance crusher is operational, incinerating and appliance crushing, removing snow in boardwalk sections for replacement.

      2/03/26

      • Cruz: PB's made it in last night and delivered material over to the run out to the raw water supply staging material at the run from the bridge out to the raw water supply, had to build out some snow across the creek for the PB's to get across sounds like Cruz found an auger bit to drill through the frost layer, still only getting about one per hour, also unloading planes when they come in starting a 24 hour shift now on helical installation. 
      • Brice: The sewer line leak was repaired and numerous leaks in the water system were identified and Brice got authorization to go in and fix the damage. Continuing housing maintenance and repair is ongoing, servicing heaters, restoring heat, doghouse repair, heat trace, and fixing plumbing issue the water treatment plant has resumed water production. Brice is fabricating a tank on a trailer with a 1" pump to assist in fuel logistics. 
      • Delta Backhaul: Incinerator is back up and running continuing to remove boardwalk in front of Cruz and expect to be down with that today and moving to another portion of boardwalk to clear out and take to the burn pile.

        • Cruz: staging material at the run from the bridge out to the raw water supply, Cruz is actively trying to find an auger bit to drill through the frost layer, they found a softer spot today but are still only getting about one per hour, also unloading planes when they come in and will be unloading piston bullies when they arrive. 
        • Brice: the sewer line leak was repaired and numerous leaks in the water system were identified and Brice got authorization to go in and fix the damage. Housing maintenance and repair is ongoing, servicing heaters, restoring heat, doghouse repair, heat trace, and fixing plumbing issues. The washateria was down for a bit and an airlock in the pump was identified and fixed. The water treatment plant has resumed water production. Brice is fabricating a tank on a trailer with a 1" pump to assist in fuel logistics. 
        • Delta Backhaul: Incinerator is down until they get a bracket for the fuel filter, removing damaged boardwalk and taking to the burn pile.

          • Brice: Clinic water is on but cannot test until the sewer line is clear, sewer line leak has been repaired, but a fitting busted when it was water jetted, but flow is going to the lagoon. Plumbers and electricians are working on getting the fuel dispenser at the marina running, working on stairs and landing at the stand-alone teacher housing, finished insulating and installed a new thermostat there, working on insulating and heat tracing other houses/doghouses. 
          • Delta Backhaul: Getting the appliance crusher up and running, removing tundra mats in front of Cruz for helicals, hauling debris to the incinerator, DBC needs more debris before they start up the incinerator.

          1/31/26

          • Cruz: Began drilling in helical piles today, from the bridge out to the ray water supply, really slow going, it takes an hour or more to get through the first three feet of frost and then 1o minutes for the next 25 feet, will look into getting a drill bit to pre-drill the holes. 
          • Brice: Still working on thawing out the washateria and health clinic, installing a fuel nozzle at the fuel marina, will be assisting with water jetting the sewer lines at the washateria if needed, finishing some plumbing at the teacher housing and then will move on to doghouse insulation and heat tracing. 
          • Delta Backhaul: Getting the appliance crusher up and running, removing tundra mats in front of Cruz for helical piles, placing tundra mats across the river crossing for added support, hauling debris to the incinerator, DBC needs more debris before they start up the incinerator.

                  • Cruz: Performing snow clearing operations; getting access to the fuel farm is their main goal today.
                  • STG was supposed to be back on site today but said they had more delays in getting people back. They plan on returning on 1/12 now, and I asked them to prioritize getting the sewer line from the school completed that they started before the holiday break.
                  • Brice brought up the deficient runway lighting, stating that there are several lights that are non-operational and the system is 30 years old. They would like to see them replaced if possible. They also inquired about the possibility of getting heavier snow-capable equipment on site, such as piston bully's 
                    or snow cats.
                  • Delta Backhaul indicated that they would be back on site on Friday 1/9.

                      • Crews preparing for the storm today. 10" of snow is expected, so they are chipping ice off of boardwalks and stairways.
                      • Cruz: Continues to keep vital areas as free from snow and drifts as possible today.
                      • Brice: assisting with plumbing fittings in a few of the houses along the center of the village and providing support as needed.
                      • We are still down to 2 Brice personnel and 7 with Cruz. There is one DBH employee still in the village. Some changes to both Brice and Cruz will be occurring the next few days as people come back from holiday break and others rotate out.

                        • House #K37: Removed wet insulation from the floor and dried out the foundation. Continued drying out the floor. 
                        • Total of 20 team members are currently on-site including 11 local hires.

                        • Brice/Cruz: Cruz continues working on ATV's, at least 4 or 5 are not running, and others have some issues. Snow removal in a few places remains. The fuel farm is running "normally" again. Brice is assisting as needed with the water plant and washateria.

                        • Brice/Cruz: Brice assisting with water plant and washateria work. Cruz continues snow removal and debris removal. Some aircraft loads this afternoon. Quite a few ATVs are having problems, so they are tenting and heating to work on them. Also working on updated lumber quantities as well.

                        • Brice/Cruz: This morning crews continued with snow drift cleanup, then shifted to getting debris piles organized. Snow and winds started this afternoon, making work slow.
