Wake Bus Plan
Thank you for participating in the 2035 Wake Bus Plan development process!
The Wake Bus Plan guides bus service and transit infrastructure investments in Wake County, building on the vision and projects outlined in the 2035 Wake Transit Plan. The 2035 Wake Bus Plan works to refine these projects and figure out what to fund and when to fund it, between fiscal years 2028 and 2035.
The Bus Plan has three distinct development steps:
Refine and prioritize projects: Review the bus service and infrastructure investments called for in the Wake Transit Plan and rank them based on demand, need, and community input.
Build a realistic funding plan: Match the prioritized projects to available funding, creating a year-by-year schedule of what can be delivered and when.
Review and finalize the plan: Share the draft plan with the public and decision-makers, gather feedback, and adopt a final plan.

Your Voice Matters!
Whether you ride transit every day, occasionally, or not at all, we want to hear from you!
The 2035 Wake Bus Plan is being developed through a combination of technical analysis, financial planning, and collaboration with transit providers, local governments, community organizations, and the people who travel to, through, and within Wake County.
Public feedback gathered throughout the planning process will help shape investment priorities, refine recommendations, and guide decisions about how transit funding is allocated through 2035.
