Norris Bridge Replacement Project EA Public Hearing

Welcome to the Virginia Department of Transportation's (VDOT) public hearing on the Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Norris Bridge Replacement Project. VDOT is leading coordination with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), in development of an Environmental Assessment (EA) to comply with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) for the proposed replacement of the Robert O. Norris, Jr. Bridge on Route 3 over the Rappahannock River. The EA has been completed and is available for public review and comment.

VDOT invites the public to participate in the in-person public hearing on the EA and supporting technical documents. The hearing will provide an open house session allowing attendees to view a narrated video, exhibit boards, and project mapping. Additonally, project staff will deliver a brief presentation starting shortly after 5 p.m. VDOT staff will be on hand to receive comment and answer questions.
