Background

The purpose of this study is to identify project recommendations for the Truslow Road corridor, which runs parallel to Route 17 (Warrenton Road) in Stafford County. The study is examining current and future traffic and safety concerns on Truslow Road from Cool Breeze Way to Berea Church Road. The planned Stafford Plaza Drive extension will provide access to two new schools (Hartwood High School and Falls Run Elementary School) opening in 2026,  which will alter travel patterns in the area. This study will focus on identifying cost-effective ways to enhance safety, improve road capacity, and provide better access for all road users, including bicyclists and pedestrians. Initially, this study considered conditions along Route 17, but Stafford County is conducting a separate study on Route 17 and additional information can be found on this website.

This Phase 2 survey is intended to obtain public input on the alternatives under consideration to address the issues outlined above. Your feedback will help your local leaders decide whether to pursue future funding opportunities. Thank you for your input.
