2050 Transportation Plan - Amendment 2
Known as the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) in the federal planning process, the Transportation Plan is the primary tool used by AMATS to plan for long-range transportation needs and recommend solutions based on anticipated funding availability over a minimum 20-year horizon.
Overview
An update is needed to the 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan to revise the description for Project #TIP NHS 1 – Seward Highway: O’Malley Road to Dimond Boulevard Reconstruction, based on actions taken by the Policy Committee in October 2025. In addition, the Municipality of Anchorage is seeking federal Rural and Tribal Assistance Pilot Program grant funding for two new projects aimed at improving public safety and emergency access. More details are provided in the memo posted below.
