High Point MPO: Project Prioritization
High Point MPO: Project Prioritization
Introduction
Introduction
Prioritization is a biennial process where transportation projects from each planning area compete for state and federal funding across North Carolina. Projects are funded at three levels: (1) Statewide Mobility; (2) Regional Impact; and (3) Division Needs. Statewide Mobility project selection is complete. Four (4) grade-separated rail projects were picked up for funding in the 2028-2037 State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) within the High Point Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) area.
Regional Impact project selection is now underway from June to September. Division Needs project selection will occur from October to November. During these two windows, the High Point MPO Transportation Advisory Committee has the opportunity to assign local input points to contribute to a project's overall score and give projects a better chance of being funded. High Point MPO wants to know how you would prioritize the projects submitted for competition to help inform the local input point process.
